FRIDAY's PRACTICE CANCELED.

It is gross and rainy, I was hoping it would start to clear. Unfortunately , it doesn't seem to be doing so therefore practice is canceled today.

Monday - HOME MATCH against PIONEER. We won't start playing until 4, but we will have a mini practice while we wait for them from 3-4.

Tuesday - No practice

Wednesday - 2:45pm Team Pic / Mickey's Dairy Twist or whatever you guys want to do. Tom Mac will be here to take your photos, I will hand out envelopes on Monday to you to bring with you on Wednesday.

Sunday , October 18th - 6pm our tennis banquet. Team members should plan on being there to receive their certificates, and numerals. Family is more than welcome to attend. I will post more on this next week so you know what to expect.

Anytime afterschool until 10pm you can help the Saline Boys Tennis program. I will be at the school giving away the fliers and I'll be at qdoba at 3ish.

it is an all day event.. we will meet at the Saline High Courts at 7:40am . Bring food , lots of water, blankets to sit on, sunscreen. .and get ready for a great day of tennis! Tournaments can go anywhere from 3pm- 6pm. .be prepared!

friday.. we have a mandatory meeting in the auditorium at 3:00pm . Since we usually meet under the shed at 3.. ill be there and we can go over to the meeting together, as a team. you are to sit with other tennis team members. We will play tennis after the meeting, time permitting.

4 . pack a little cooler of food--- parents are invited to bring food for the whole team ( which will be 10-12 people tomorrow ) However, parents are not obligated to do so.

TOURNAMENT THIS SAT.

We have the opportunity to play in a Varsity tournament this weekend . I need 10-12 guys ( Andy will give you guys the numbers at practice). The tournament is this Saturday at Saline. This is such a great opportunity, I expect that the top 10 -12 players should without a doubt play in this tournament.

The current schedule for competitions are listed on salinehornets.com . It is a combination of the JV schedule and the Varsity. Unfortunately, for some reason, they don't list them together. I am waiting for confirmation on some of the dates before I combine them and post them here.

Required Athletic Physicals Being Offered at Saline High for Only $30On Wednesday, May 27th from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. the Saline Athletic Department is going to offer physicals at Saline High School for the cost of $30. No appointment is necessary. All proceeds go toward the purchase of medical supplies for Saline Athletics. Since all Saline athletes are required to have an annual physical on file with the school, this is an excellent opportunity to complete this requirement for the next school year. Included in the cost is a custom mouth guard. A Saline dentist, Dr. Neil Kinra will be on site providing fittings for custom mouth guards for all our athletes who get their physicals on the 27th. The mouth guards will be available a week or so later. If you have any questions, please contact Saline’s athletic trainer, Jaime Corl at 429-8000, ext. 2336.

Tuesday the 21st

As I write this.. it is not raining. Our practice is from 4-6 . If it is raining, then it will be canceled, but I will cancel it here on this blog and I will show up there to meet anyone who doesn't have access to this blog.

That being said... two days without exercise does not help a conditioning team. If it is raining, there is a kickboxing class ( first three are free) at ATA Saline at 7pm . All you need is a water bottle and be ready to workout . ATA Saline is on Woodland dr next to the bowling alley. It is not mandatory to attend, it is just a suggestion to get a workout in.

SPRING BREAK PRACTICE

BIG CHANGE!! read below!


Hope you are enjoying your break. I was going to have two practices on Monday and one on Wed.. but the snow is going to change that. Therefore there will only be one optional practice


Wednesday , we will be working out at ATA Saline. It is the kickboxing studio right next to the bowling alley on Woodland Drive. Class starts at 9:15am. Bring water and wear workout clothes. If you would like to go hit tennis balls after that , that is more than ok, but I just wanted to make sure all of you got in a workout this week if you wanted one. This way, no matter what the weather, we are good for a workout!

See you then ( if you want to ! )

This is the schedule for this week. We might be staggering practice with Varsity a bit more because it is nice to have so many courts +balls available to us .
